There should definitely be some discrepancy when it comes to Betson cabinets as well. Panels have been well known to stick at any moment, which almost always guarantees a few pad errors during a player's session. Even the SN2 machine at Coney Island up here, brand new, with a great maintenance staff, has errors. Not saying that Konami cabinets are perfect either, but you get my point.

It has to be completely up to the person playing.

But if that were the case, then we could all just say we AAA everything we play, since it's completely up to us and all.

Why would  you want to do that? It would take out all the fun in the game if you just 'AAA'd everything' just by saying I did it.

I think he means it's up to the person to count it or not. If I were to AAA Sky High and get a miss/pad boo I wouldn't post a picture. I would have counted it along time ago because that was my decision. no one can prove I didn't get the AAA.Which means its up to the player to decide.

in the grand scheme of things, scores are only as good as what you believe them to be.  i cant accept a AAA on a song unless it clearly shows "AAA" as my grade.  i know others are perfectly ok with accepting 0 and "pads".  the extent of me lying about a score is when a sensor did not hold a freeze arrow when i know i didnt take my weight off of it and it didnt have anything to do with a AAA.  thats my own personal policy and im satisfied by it
